Today I finished it and would you like to share my opinion.

The book consists of two parts. The first part takes place in the 17 Century in Edinburgh and the Highlands of Scotland. John Cameron has survived the plague and as a former soldier now working as a longshoreman. In an execution, he runs into the beautiful Madlen MacDonald. By his friend Paddy, he learns that the young Women should be the real reason for the execution of the man, because Madlen "heard" the mighty Chester Cunningham and the offender was the "Black Lord" in their way.

Finally it comes to the big showdown .... the Madlen unfortunately not survived.
Part 2 takes place in the presence in Edinburgh. The molecular biologist Lilian of steel examined a substance that gave her brother her. Visions she sees in past times .... and an attractive Highlander named John Cameron. And she is sure she is even the women in these visions that John loves and of which she is pregnant. But how is that possible?
What they do not know: Her brother is part of the secret brotherhood of Chester Cunninghame, just like John and his men has also Cunninghame survived until today.
John is the company CSS, a leading international security firm whose sole purpose is to Cunninghame and his brotherhood to put a stop to. Because they sell to the substance of Eternity wealthy people and bring them into a lifelong addiction. For if we no longer email, it is aging rapidly within hours.
Lilian meets John and he is üerzeugt to have found the Madlen reincarnated in her. But can that be? And he can really trust Lilian? What she has to do with Cunninghame?
All in all a good book, has said I liked the first part better than the modern second. A little weird, the explanations in the second part of the events first. After all, it is a book and you inevitably read part 1 if you start with part 2. The second part was sometimes a bit lengthy.
John Cameron is a very sympathetic figure. A man in the 21 Century, with the manners and the conduct of the 17th Highlanders Century.
Madlen I also liked very much. And Bran, Johns best friend.
Lilian was unappealing to me sometimes when they do not believe John wanted. But as I would have reacted in their place when a man tells me he was over 300 years old and immortal?
Well, at least there is a happy ending. :-)
