14th How these stages are related

After this statement, we now see clearly the features of the different stages as they relate to each other and what they do in us.
Blessed is he who, free from any other concern, constantly trying to climb the four steps. Blessed are those who sold all his possessions to buy that field in which the precious treasure is hidden: namely, to gather and learn "how good is the Lord".
well-practiced at the first stage,
prudent diligently on the second,
on the third,
about yourself collected on the fourth,
he rises in his heart on the paths up,
the Lord has prepared for him,
until God himself "looking at the Zion" (Ps 84.8).
Blessed, which it is permitted to stay at this highest level,
if only for a short time,
and speak the truth to be able to:
"I feel the grace of the Lord;
I look with Peter and John together
his glory on the mountain;
I know something of the joy of Jacob
in the embrace of beautiful Rachel. "
